This single malt Scotch is one of Diageo’s Special Releases for 2019, named ‘Rare by Nature’. The whisky has been matured in ex-Amontillado sherry-seasoned hogsheads which has produced a wonderfully floral expression, much like the bottle’s label design. Limited to 4,860 bottles, this is one not to be missed.

On the nose expect caramel followed by wafts floral notes, background of zesty citrus peel too. To taste brings immediate burnt caramel and sweet fruit followed by earthy spice and zing of blossom. The finish is medium to long, dry, with continued earthy notes and caramel.
